I was just reading this
blog post by Razmataz. It was about Sarah Richardson's new series. I asked Raz how she liked the dining room Sarah did in the new Sarah's House season. Now, I pretty much always love her designs. This time I really didn't like it. There were too many shades of blue not getting along. What do you think?
Usually, her rooms are much cleaner and less jarring to me. Here are some other dining rooms she has designed.
So folks, do we love Sarah's latest dining room or hate it? I'm all ears.

I like the furnishings, the painting and the drapes, but I really hate the 2 blues on the wall. I don;t keep track too much, but it seems she has used much brighter colors in combination since she became affiliated with Para paints. I much preferred her palette when she used Farrow and Ball. I think the 2 tones with wainscoting screams 1980, but maybe I`m the one not with it. I am interested to see what you commenters think.
I agree. The walls are too much.
Hi Deb!
Honestly, I hate everything about it. The blues clash, the stripes compete and the chandelier gets lost. I've been disappointed in her designs for a long time now....I liked her much better when she was more simple country. I think she's gotten too trendy.
there you go! Hope all is well with you and hows that grandbaby doing? xo
hi deb, it's hard to tell b/c the pics are small but i have to say that i kinda like it. it is a fresh look in my eyes. but they are pretty bad these days so don't count on me for any accuracy.

I like the basic stuff in the room, especially the painting, but I don't like the walls. I think I would've gone with a different color besides blue.
Love the other photos though!

I don't even remember seeing this....have they aired it here in the U.S. yet?? I'm usually late to all parties...lol
LeAnn: It's new here in Canada so maybe you'll get it soon.
I'm almost finding it hard to believe those rooms are from the same designer! I love the other rooms she did - but the 'blue room' is definitely too much of everything for me... The other pics are so serene - I don't get what she went so overboard on this one! ;-)
I've always liked Sarah's creations but that one is a bit off for my taste. Not that that means anything. ; )
Agree about hating all the blues. I like things more harmonious.
I guess I won't have to watch the show now. Thanks.
It's not working for me. I found the pics from this season to be a little off for her.
I like Sarah and her shows but I generally wouldn't repeat anything she does in our house. I appreciate it but it is generally not to our taste.
I like it ok... I am not a big blue person. However, I love the red "summerhill" dining room ~ so pretty.
yep,not my favourite. However doesn't it show she can be versatile to meet a number of markets? We've just had the 101 series here in Oz.I thought her work was amazing. Hopefully in a year we'll see this new one. i always think her bathrooms, fabric variation and use of vintage are superior.
Wendy C: Welcome! and I agree.
I guess she does have to try to please others but that horse pic is way too much for me.. I like blues to blend and I don't find these do.. But what do I know?
Usually, I love her work..
Too many blues. I like the red chairs in the last photo.
Maybe she's tired and needs a holiday in Hawaii?
Firstly - hello LC (it's been too long!).
Secondly - I am always a huge fan of Sarah's designs and ideas, but in this instance am not at all.
Thirdly - Is that Sassy I see on the blue wall?
'Tis a bit tizzy and is that your Sassy horse there in its hugeness over the dining table? We all love her but, really, not at the dinner table!
Ha! Hello Raine and Sage! We had a bloggleganger thought there!
R&S: It HAS been too long.
Annie: I wouldn't sell Sassy's photo for anything! not.
It's too busy for my taste and I really don't like that combo of blues on the wall. I agree with an earlier commenter that the two-toned wall looks very 80s to me. Did that come back into fashion when I wasn't looking?
I like most of the other pictures, though.
I don't love it either-it's too wild & wooly.
Your burka baby business is hilarious. Why do we live in a country that we have to mummify the babes to take them out? Poor things. He is so stinkin cute...and I love your photo captions.
