In honour of Valentine's Day I usually make valentine cookies or a heart shaped cake. This year I chose to make cookies because I like to torment myself. Et voila.
Rolled out cookies are usually a pain to make. This is why I only make them once or twice a year.
They don't take long to bake.
Obligatory fancy photo.
Here's another.
My favourite valentine of all:
four months old today! |
Have a love-ly day Gentle Readers! Be sweet.
p.s. I'm only having one cookie in honour of my far-away-friend. You know who you are.
p.p.s. Don't forget to enter the draw for one of my cushion covers over at Itsy Bits and Pieces .

Your grandbaby is getting SO big! He's a doll. Nice looking cookies. Very nice. Happy Valentine's Day.
Yum! I think even I would venture off fresh food diet to have one of those...she said as she popped another chocolate chip to melt in her mouth.
OH MY...your little grandson is a heart stealer! And that photo of the cookies sandwiched with icing made my mouth drop open! Looks delicious! Happy Valentine's Day!
Sometimes it's really hard to get a comment to stick on this blog. I'm not sure why ...
I've got to say that that baby is the cutest thing I've seen for a long time. I'll have one of him and a cookie.
You've got some serious styling talent, lady!
What an adorable valentine you have! Cookies look like they were worth the effort too. Happy V day to you. xx
What a doll baby! You've got lots of sweetness going on .... xoxo
Your fancy photos are incredible. You know what's the hardest thing to photograph? Yes, food. It rarely looks any tasty. Even the shape of your hearts are perfect. Must mean perfect love for that favourite valentine. He's the cutest little thing!
Lilli :)
Those a some tooting' cookies you have there! Next V. Day the grand baby will be eating them too!
OMG - too cute! And the baby is adorable too - hehehe... ;-)
I could easily, EASILY munch my way through all of those cookies in one go. I'm such a pig sometimes. Is that strawberry flavoured icing or did you just add a bit of food colouring? Looks sooo delicious...
Hi Deb! I just nominated your blog for an award! Go to my blog for the details, K?
I love the cookies. I'm wondering why I've never made any kind of sandwich cookie with as much baking as I do.
Hi Deb, this is my first visit via Sue. Your grandson is a dear heart I feel sure. And the cookies make me homesick for my Mothers kitchen.
awwww... look at your sweetie pie! :) what a love! And your cookies look sweet, too!
