Big Box Shopping.

A couple of months ago I saw this blog post by Brooklyn Limestone.  The post shows how to make designs on dishes.  The script plate she showed was so pretty that I wanted to try it. Here's a photo:

So I looked on the internets for the special  brand of marker that she used to write on porcelain.  The price was good and the shipping reasonable so I ordered one.

I received a box at the door this morning from the mail lady.

After rummaging around in the box for a minute I pulled out all the packing paper.  This is what I found at the very bottom of the box:

A six inch marker in a 12x8x4 box.

I know More is More, but isn't this a bit of overkill???

You know what though. We send CD and/or DVDs to people who transcribe them out of their home and whenever we send them in a little package, they frequently get lost. Dropped in a puddle? Evaporated? Not sure. But when we send in a bigger box, we don't have that problem.

Next time, I think you should get a box of pens and do a giveaway.

You've got to be kidding me! That giant box for one pen is so funny and silly.

I love the cup and the plate is pretty too. You could sell those in your Etsy shop. They are very nice and you could market them to all the people (like myself) with terrible handwriting who could never, ever produce one of those themselves.

Happy Weekend!

That is funny!

Maybe Mr UC has a point. But that box is overkill!

But imagine your surprise on receiving such a large parcel! Or does that only work for diamond rings? Very funny! Xx

Must be one of our American companies. You Canadians wouldn't be so wasteful. My bet is if you order something breakable, it will come in an envelope. ;)

The best things come in small parcels ( including poison).

It reminds me of the big box presents the boys' friends give them at birthdays with little spots vouchers in them! Maybe they are just hilarious fun mongers at that business. Maybe it's just the illogical world we live in. Maybe they just ran out of envelopes.

PS. That was 'sports vouchers' in case you thought they received acne treatments from their friends.

I have a couple of those pens... somewhere... I think I should have put them in a really big box so I wouldn't lose them maybe...
