Since many of you wanted to see the layout of the upstairs hall from yesterday's post, I will oblige. Just remember it is unstaged and unedited and Mr LC is a major critic of my little video. Humph!
He's all 'why didn't you show the door latches, they're hand forged. Or the doors with the wide panels?' Those are for another day Mr LC. I need post material my good man.
Anyway, I hope this gives you some idea of the hall.

I don't know why you think the dresser is horrible...I think it's charming. But I still would paint it bright to match the rest of the hallway stuff.

That's a huge hallway. It seems like the consensus is to paint that dresser a grey-ish colour. Though, to be honest I think it looks fine as it is.
Such a quaint, old house. My kids would love all the angled ceilings and narrow doorways. And then they'd chase the dogs and the cat, and want to ride Sassy, or tackle a bear. And then they'd try on all of Mr LC's hats ...
Great old doors and I love the window. In our house in Maine, FringeMan actually built a bathroom door to look like your old ones. I love old houses. Great windows in that space. That was a fun video! I agree with the others, we need a house tour one day. :-)

Finally! Your dulcet tones! It's funny to have been communicating so long and then hear your voice. What a lovely wide hallway and such an intriguing set of secret doors. It's like a game show. What's behind door number 3? Grey would be the most sensible and in keeping with the traditional flavour of your house but I do love a bit of muted bright.
Annie: There are no prizes behind any of those doors, believe me! I love a bit of muted bright too.

I have to agree with everyone else...it is lovely to put a voice with your writing! And what a beautiful old house!! Love the worn wood on the stairs that I saw in the beginning of the video. You are lucky to live in such a special place!
Your voice is LOVELY! And thanks for showing us your real-life hall. It's really more than a hall, when you can fit so much furniture in it... maybe a landing? Our hall is about 80cm wide, so no furniture at all. I think I need a fabric cupboard like yours. We might have to do a blog hop... you show me yours and I'll show you mine... might make me clean up around here a bit (So many topics in a single comment... I'm no journalist, can you tell?)
