Yesterday the weather was warmer than it had been all summer. Today we are huddled around the woodburner in the kitchen.
I saw another bear on Saturday. I sure hope it was the same one we saw before as it was much farther away from our house.
Not funny. |
It was Mr LC's turn to cook dinner last night and his sister called and invited us over for dinner at her place. I hope this means he's cooking tonight.
Can anyone tell from this post that I don't like to cook?
I did make a potato and leek soup the other day for the first time and I must say it was awesome. Thanks to Jamie Oliver.
He's so cute. |
I still don't like to cook though.
Over and out. Carry on.

It's really that cold up there?
Please send some cold air to Maryland! I'm sick of 80F, 100% humidity, and pesky mosquitoes!
Oh no. It only seemed like yesterday that you were all snowy and cold.
It also only seemed like yesterday that you saw a bear.
I hate to say it, but it's just not cold enough, or even cool enough, to make soup. What? Am I a wee bit jealous? Of your cold temperatures? It very well could be. I love Jamie too. He's so earnest. Loved his show!
Oh my that bear looks big. can he cook? xx
im rubbish at cooking, luckily steve loves cooking, that bear looks quite scary!
I would be a bit scared of those bears!
Glad to hear all is well with your daughter and baby. Digress away, its not fair is it? x
I MUST SAY THAT JAMIE IS MY FAV ON THE COOKING CHANNEL.. THE WEATHER IS LOVELY IN THE DAYTIME BUT COOL AT NIGHT.. I THINK OUR FALL IS BETTER THAN THE SUMMER BY FAR, EH?
BLESSINGS..
Cute bear ... I mean Jamie Oliver. Gotta love a man that cooks.
I told my husband yesterday that the most loved 4 words he will ever say to me are, "I'll bring home pizza!" Ha.
I am making soup every week now too. We love soup and we love soup weather and we love the leftovers for lunch.
That bear looks like it could break things.
I thought we established that your husband was a SNAG. They have to cook- it's in the definition.
Summer is overrated. Cosy food beats salad hands down.
Our weather is all over the place, too...up in the mid 80s again this week, just when I was enjoying the 50s-60s stuff...The potato leek soup sounds really good...
I say, give the bear a name. Call him Jamie Oliver if he's a boy Nigella if he's a she. i don't like cooking that much too, I have a small place to cook and I hate cleaning after. I hate doing the dishes. I hope santa will bring me a dishwasher this year.
