To think there are people in the world who have just cause to protest and cannot, and then there are those who bravely fight for freedom and human rights. And then we have those living in the most peaceful country in the world who are merely Rebels without a cause. You are right. It is SHAMEFUL. I too am embarrassed. WORLD, this is not how Canadian are...
I've left a comment on your daughter's blog. We've had to live with the shameful behaviour of British football hooligans for decades. Feeling runs high particularly after significant matches. To quote a famous British football manager, "Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that." Nuff said.

Thanks ladies!
Hi Deb, I so agree with your sentiment. Never would I have thought that what Vancouver experienced would be the result of a hockey game.
It IS craziness, and we have had things like that happen here, too...crazy crowd mentality...
Don't worry too much, Deb. They're just a minority. I think it can happen anywhere.
Hey Deb, horrible people should not make us feel bad about our countries or ourselves......they need to be made to feel all that!
