Shower Power.

I was taking my monthly shower a few minutes ago when my husband started pounding on the bathroom door. Of course I jumped and screamed and told him to get out.  Unfortunately we only have one bathroom.  Well you've been in here for ever, he said, what takes you so long?

Ladies, we all know what takes so long. Several products are needed to action a proper cleansing shower.  You need a good quality face wash,(mine's Chanel and Mr LC steals it) then comes shampoo and conditioer.  I have long, thick hair and it takes a while to even get my head wet enough for the shampoo.  Okay, that's three products and then of course your body wash makes number four. I didn't even shave!  I didn't even pumice my heels! And how about moisturizing afterwards?

Please note that this photo is not of me nor is it my bathroom.  My bathroom has been undergoing a Never Ending Reno for about three years now.  I think my living room may take just as long the way things are going. That's okay though, one day at a time, right?  I've been purging and throwing things out like crazy.  It helps me deal with stress.  Seriously.  Try it sometime. I tried to get Mr LC on board last night.  I think he lasted five minutes and then had to go to bed. Really.  I mean, who wants VCR tapes when you don't have a VCR?

Well, it's been a slice.  Thanks for bearing with my little rant. Peace love dove.  See, it's working.  I'm calmer already.

Of course it takes ages for women to attend to the shower routine. Which is why during a drought here a few years ago, women were Very Unimpressed when the Government sent us a little egg timer for the shower, and advised 3 minute showers were mandatory. Was fun to flout their rule on hair wash days, though :)

I can hook you up with a VCR. I have a few. I figure one day soon they'll be vintage and I'll make a fortune on them.

We always have this problem in the morning! I make my daughter shower at night now, because she takes the longest. It never fails that as soon as I enter the bathroom, everyone starts banging on the door and trying to yell through the crack. When the shower is running and the bathroom exhaust fan is on, I cannot hear anything but mumble no matter how loud my kids yell. It drives me nuts!

Ok, thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Have a good day and a peaceful shower. ;-)

I thought 'look how great Deb looks! All those products really work!'
I used to take quite long showers before sleep because it helps me to relax and get into sleep mood, but now gas is so pricey I just have a touch and go kind of shower.

I love long showers. LOVE. LONG. showers. And long baths. And reading while taking long baths. Anything water related I lOVE.

And I HATE being disturbed during my me time. Knocking on the door would make me produce terrifying sounds. Not good.

I only have one bathroom.... but it's all mine!! I love that aspect of having my place to myself. And, I can read in bed at night for as late as I want. Bliss. When my partner stays over I have to give that a miss because he gets up so early and goes to bed way before me.

The whole purging thing is VERY beneficial. It's a medicine in it's own right I reckon.... as good as an excellent pain reliever. Getting rid of 'stuff' is very uplifting and satisfying.

Great to find your blog! I came over via Through The Orange Door.

Linda. :)

I hear you on the thick hair dilemma...I spend more time getting it wet than anything else. And the Artist is a shower clocker. I hate shower clockers. : )
