To paint or not to paint

This picture really doesn't have anything to do with today's post except that I'm housebound and wondering what I should do next. The floors in my craft room need something done to them and I'm not sure what to do. I was going to sand and stain them but my impatient gene kicked in and said Paint! Paint! The problem is I don't know what colour to paint it. Can anybody out there help me? Please? Remember the walls are creamy white.

Over here Debbs they have a stain that has colour in it. It gives a sort of streaky look. I debated using it on old floor boards but Nial didn't like it. I think it could look good. One of the paints here is called Dulux. I really like it as they have a lot of different colours. also in a paint shop in St. John there was this fantastic guy who could mix colours to exactly the shade I wanted. I used him to do my paint in the Hall Rd. and he did a fantastic job.

We have the coloured stain here too but I don't want to strip the floor because I'm lazy! I bought some Benjamin Moore floor paint in a light gray that I'm going to use. Wish me luck!
