Hudson's Bay Copy Cat?

I found another super duper item in my foraging/purging project.

Before you get too excited, this is a Candystripe camper blanket not a Hudson's Bay blanket. There are no points on it. However, it is vintage, still in the bag it came in, and has never been used. The size is 60x84 and I know for a fact that it is older than I am. I just stole borrowed this photo off of the net and where you see the blue stripe mine has a green one.

For those of you who have never heard of the Hudson's Bay Blanket, read here. This is my quandry:  Do I sell it or keep it?

Gentle Readers, please advise.

That's a lovely blanket, Deb... 'traded
in exchange for beaver pelts', indeed. I would have kept it, I love blankets. If you don't think you'll use it, better to sell it, or ask your daughters maybe.
Lovely evening,
Lilli

I'd keep it if you were actually going to use it. No point having it if it only sits in a cupboard.xx

Nice.

Ask yourself: Would I rather have this blanket, or X dollars?

Keep it. Make pillows from it if you don't want to use it as a blanket or upholster and ottoman in it. I love it. I have a few myself. I can;t pass them by.

It's gorgeous! I would probably want to keep it, but know in my head that I should sell it. Heart or head? I guess bottom line, will you use it? If not, SELL!

To me, I decide if I really want the piece, or would I rather have the money? It's a great blanket!

So, it's not a Hudson Blanket ... so you're not depriving your progeny of an inheritance ... would you use it? If so, I'd keep it.

It's quite pretty ... is the wool soft? Have you got a guest's bedroom?

(I've never heard of those blankets before.)

keep it, keep it, keep it. I love it, it has stripes and i adore stripes. I think you should sell it only if you won't use it or you don't like it. Or if you can make millions from it. I never heard of those blankets either, but if they are a Canadian symbol, even if it's just a copy, i love it. I have a soft spot for Canada!!

It's a great blanket! I've seen them in magazines. I love the way they look at the end of a bed. Can you use it? If not, sell it. Just don't regret your decision. ;-)
