It's Been a Long Week.

It's been a pretty quiet week here at the LC.  Tropical storm Irene knocked out our power around two o'clock in the early hours of Monday morning.  We just got our power back today around noon.  No electricity  means no water, no refrigeration and worst of all, no internet.  It's been a long week folks.
Here's some of my Brown Eyed Susans to cheer you up.

It's all a conspiracy. You loose all the food in your fridge and freezer and have to buy more. It's good for the economy...as long as you have the money to buy more.

Brown-Eyed Susans? Is that what you call them there?

what do you call them Urban Cottage? Now I'm curious!

The flowers are beautiful and each time I hear of someone who has their electricity back I breath a prayer of thanks.

Glad to know you're okay. I missed you because it's not like you to drop off the blog shelf without a word.

How're the creatures? Sassy? Stephen? All right, I hope. Thank goodness it didn't happen in Winter.

thanks for cheering us up...those who were sitting with our electricity on watching everything on tv. I didn't realize it still had that much power by the time it hit you. Glad you're all safe and sound!

You never know what you've got till it's gone. Loss of electricity sends that message home very loudly. Although everything seems so quiet without power.

You've done well. Two days off and bouncing right back! We had a 40 minute blackout the other day (it was a small storm, nothing Irene-y) and the kids just couldn't understand it. And I got out of finishing a design job. That was a bonus. I'm glad you had your fruit and veg to eat!

Glad you're okay! It's such a bummer when the power goes out... and I miss the internet the most, too!
