Looking out my Backyard.

I shuffled into the bathroom this morning to take my monthly daily shower.  I happened to glance out the window and noticed these two creatures.

Real deer, not a reenactment.
I watched them for quite awhile and then hurried to get the camera.

They didn't appear nervous at all.  Just chowing down.

They were just having breakfast.  I took a video but it's pretty choppy so I won't bore you with it.  I watched them for a long time and they were still there after I had my shower.  I've never seen deer stay in one spot for so long.

Speaking of deer dear, my friend Annie from Australia is having a mastectomy this afternoon Queensland  time.  Please say a prayer for her.

Ladies, don't forget your mammograms!

Oh, let's change backyards, Deb. Living by a river is exaggerated, nothing ever happens.

I think of Annie all through the day. And also, that I've never had a mammogram.

MUCH prettier than what creeps up from the sewer and walks through my yard. :)

I love to watch deer...they are a peaceful creature.

Oh, no; I didn't know about Annie. She leaves me comments all the time and she's very sweet. Does she have a blog? I've never been able to e-mail her back from her comments.

Watching wildlife in the back yard can be so peaceful. I used to spend hours (I'm not kidding) watching blue-tongue lizards.

I hope Steve comments on Annie's blog. She likes Steve.

I like Steve. I also like you and Annie.

Glad you've had your monthly shower! You ARE a loyalist!

Pretty deer. My husband would say they look like dinner, but not me. I can enjoy them even when they are not on my plate. ;-)

Praying for your friend Annie. My husband just found out that a former classmate of his has been diagnosed with breast cancer and her sister with ovarian cancer. So terrible.

At a glance I thought they were kangaroos, and then I realised you were in Canada! Seriously cool. And ditto re Annie. I keep getting weepy.

Oh no, that's terrible, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Two of my friends have had to undergo surgery for breast cancer the past 6 months (though thankfully not a full mastectomy) and one 'only' had a scare. Important to keep checking as you say.

I'm so envious of your back yard and your environment! Well, maybe not so much of the snow you've had or the huge tree blocking the drive way! ;-)

Did you exclaim, "Oh deer!" when you saw them?? An amazing sight for people down my way. And Annie's story is terribly sad. xx

Hmm....deer sent to you this morning on the day of Annies surgery. I say that's a message for sure.

Prayers for your dear friend today.
