Sassy Update.

I just wanted to post a little video of Sassy here to assure everyone that she is indeed home.
Aaaand she sort of flunked training camp.  See how she obeys me?  Smarty pants.

My assessment is that she's suffering from post traumatic stress disorder resulting from long periods of separation anxiety. I would prescribe a carrot a day until she gets over her fear of abandonment and re-establishes some trust.

yeah, she seemed thrilled.

She is a lovely horse. Do you ride her?

I agree with An Urban Cottage, only I would add in a carrot too.
Also, I know a little girl (around 8) who would be over the moon if she could come visit. She has even offered to help dad clean the barn :)

My kids react like that. It doesn't mean Sassy doesn't love you.

I love your videos. Are they hard to post? I should do a video which demonstrates the mayhem here.

I do believe your horse just "dissed" you. Sassy by name, sassy by nature! xx

My kids are the same. I often feel like Shirley Valentine talking to a wall.
Perhaps you need to try some horse whisperer tactics with Sassy (Robert Redford style). Stand in the paddock with your back to her. ALL DAY. Then she will come.

As the male twin would say, "you've just been owned!"...and no I can't explain the logic of a twelve year old. Well, I could but it would take more logic than I own.

I'm going to look for turtles for now.
