Pancakes.

Did everyone have pancakes today for Shrove Tuesday?  We had yummy vegan pancakes here at the the LC.  I got the recipe from Janet over at The Gardner's Cottage.  She has the best vegan recipes.

My favourite pancake came for a visit today.

He was wearing your typical Canadian Boy attire.  Flannel shirt and khakis. For chopping wood.

Hi again. I just looked up the pancake recipe and one lady in the comments section gave a gluten-free version. Bookmarking for a must try!

I've never heard of Shrove Tuesday. Is that a real thing?

Love the flannel. Very RL.

I feel quite the heathen because we didn't have any pancakes, and I turned up to school today ready to do volunteer reading and was told, in no uncertain terms, that it was Ash Wednesday and everyone was going to Mass instead. So me and Martha went to Ikea.

My children have also told me that I have to Fast for the next 40 days, so I'll just have to get sustenance from looking at that photo of your cutest pancake.

Yesterday it was last day of Carnival here, and it's tradition to have frittelle. I didn't. I had super spicy indian food. As always.
That little wood chopper is really cute.

He's your lumberjack and he's okay! Or just adorable!

Surely vegan pancakes qualify as somewhat Lenten for MMMC. They do look a bit sinful though.

I've never, ever heard of Shrove Tuesday. Thank you for enlightening me. I'm so out of the loop sometimes.

Please tell us how you got your pancakes to look so amazing? Mine never turn out that way.

Baby is beautiful, but that goes without saying. I love that photo.

I completely forgot it was Mardi Gras like we call it in French. My son came home from school and reminded me. Oh well...next year. Cute pancake!
