Those Were the Days.

Daughter #2 dropped in for a visit today.  She went up to her old bedroom and found a box of photos that she had stashed under her bed.  After looking through them she handed me some and asked me if I wanted them.  Well, seeing as how they were mine in the first place I certainly did want them!

Here is #2 at two and a half years old:

How cute is she???  I was taken by the toys she had arranged on her shelves.  Cabbage Patch doll, Smurf, and Fisher Price toys, and she's wearing her Osh Kosh overalls.  A Child of the Eighties. sigh.

She's absolutely adorable, Deb. She's the same age as my little Edda, and still she looks so 'grown up', very... I wanted to write 'zesty', but after I looked it up in the Free Dictionary, I don't think it's the right word... English can be so confusing. She looks very bright and spirited.
I spotted the Smurf right away, they used to drive me mad (I have younger siblings).

Just wait a bit, and you can have all that over again, just in a different century. I'm not making any sense... time for bed :)

I'll bet she's thrilled to have the spotlight. Great overalls!

That is a pretty darn cute picture of #2. Do you remember the name of her cabbage patch doll? I can't think of it. I know I had Sheila Donna.

Oh now that just melts my heart! What will I call Ki? A child of the aughties? Is that even spelled right? Is she looking for all her treasures for the nursery?

Great picture! I remember that cash register from back in the day and I LOVED Cabbage Patch dolls and Smurfs. In fact there's a Smurf movie coming out sometime this summer and I kinda want to see it for nostalgia's sake. So cute.

Oh, she is cute. (Martha has that Fisher Price pink gingham doll from my sister who was a child of the 80s.)

What a lovely little girl, #2 was. She had lovely long hair for a two-and-a-bit. You should be very proud of your daughters, Debbish.

What a sweetie and what a lovely photo. And yes, that hair. Pure crowning glory. My babies took a few more years to get hair that lush.

Is this cute or what! My grandkids play with that little FP cash register we have leftover from our 80's kids.
