I Remember Mama

A long time ago my mother made this laundry bag. She made the stitches and coloured the picture. I came accross this when I was digging out my (unironed) tablecloths. I'm afraid this bag is older than I am! I would love to know what she coloured the fabric with don't you? Do you notice that she never completed it either! I wonder if I should.

My first time commenting here. I love your blog :0)
These bags are so cool. The combo of stitches and coloring is really intriguing! I do wish I knew what she used to color them. I tried to color fabric with permanent markers last summer, but the color faded quite a bit with just a few washes. Shirts and jackets with pictures like your laundry bag would be so fun to make and wear.

Oh Deb, that is a treasure and a half. I kinda think you should finish it, it would be so sweet to know you and your mom did something together. I have an afghan that my aunt finished for me, and she's gone now, and it's so precious! Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Deb,

Please stop by as I was redecorating my blog and I lost everything, it wouldn't even let me use my old blogger address so I had to change everything. I wanted to let you know.

Hugs,
LeAnn:)

How charming! It is so lovely and to know who made this beauty makes it even better. I've never seen anything like it. Thanks for showing us this pretty thing.

My first time stopping by. I have a quilt that my mother started, and I plan to finish it one day. Of course, if I don't get busy on it, my daughter might end up with the task! Such a beautiful piece of embroidery. It would look sweet, framed in a laundry room.
