A Quilting Story

I'm still a bit under the weather so I thought I'd show you some pictures of quilts the hubby is making.  I know he's just too good to be true.

This is a baby quilt he did for our daughter #1's friend who just had a little boy last week. Hubby performed the ceremony when the couple married about five years ago.  This is their first baby.

The baby's name is August.  How sweet is that?  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the quilt when it was all quilted. Bad me.  That's my dollhouse hanging out behind it.

I got some Cath Kidston fabric on Ebay ( I just love her) and the dear man whipped up a little throw for me.  I'm just waiting to get it quilted.

I know, I know, he's a keeper!

Cheers!

Those are GORGEOUS! He sure is a keeper - I love a man that can make a quilt! I'd junk all my blankets that I seem to collect for one beautiful quilt ~

Have a beautiful Easter weekend.

Whoa - "just whipped up"!?! Those are beautiful! I am so impressed... especially because I've been quilting lately and it's tricky! Definitely a keeper! :)

Thanks for sharing- his quilts definitely show an artistic eye for graphics!

Jen, my mum was a quilting maniac, she made more quilts than we know what to do with. Hubby is having a hard time doing the actual quilting part so we farm that part out to some dear old souls who quilt up a storm.

Thanks Linda, he makes up the pattern layouts himself.

Oh yeah, he is definitely a keeper. Those colors are so adorable together. Quilts are such treasures. I somehow lost one my great grandma made for me when I lived in the dorms in college. It still makes me sad that I don't have it.

My mum made each of the girls a quilt when they went away to university too. What a shame yours got lost.

Power to male sewers...wait, that doesn't look right! Power to men who sew. When's going to start a blog?

Deb said...

No, he doesn't cook unfortunately. He doesn't even read my blog so I don't think hubby is going to start one!
