Hoarders: The Loyalist Cottage Edition.

Mr LC dragged me out of bed this morning at first light.  He was a man on a mission.  The storage barn must be cleaned out for the nth time as he needed space to store Sassy's hay supply.  Out to the shed we went.
I would get rid of everything.  Well, almost everything.
What are we doing with a toilet!  I was told that it was a perfectly good toilet.
Anybody want a gently used bath tub?
Is this the keep pile or the throwaway pile?  Do you see that blue bucket up there?  I found a carton in it with a box of kraft dinner, a can of tuna and a bottle of vanilla extract.  Mr LC says keep the tuna. NOT!
How about camping in a rotting tent?  Mr LC used to take the girls 'camping' for a few days every summer.  I heard they ate out a lot.
How about a chair to reupholster?
Gratuitous picture of a kangaroo for my Australian contingent.
My dolls' crib from when I was a wee girl.  I know, it's vintage.  It's going.
My table from when I was a little tot.  I have the chairs too.  It's staying.
An angel, anyone?  We have six.  I don't know why.
We tried to get rid of this Chanel display stand last time.  But we got caught by Daughter #1.  So it stays.  sigh.
There are piles of boxes stacked up in there. All  A lot of it belongs to the girls.  Things they used when they went to university and had their own apartments.  Glasses, dishware, odd tables, that sort of thing.  But, you'll never guess what I uncovered while going through their stuff.

The mother load!  Not even opened.  I guess someone never got up the courage to try it.
Aaaand this one...
Isn't this the Queen's tipple?  Alas, it is half gone.  Finding these just made my day.  I never laughed so hard in my life when I came across these all safely wrapped in newspaper.  Now, I wonder if anyone will cop to the crime???

Anyway, if you think you can't live without any of this wonderful junk, stop by the end of my driveway.  It will be waiting for you!  Except for the booze of course.

p.s.  If you're up for another laugh, visit my daughter's blog Broken Poet and see how she tries to make me over.  Try being the operative word.

I'll have the Absolute!! It's my favourite- can't wait until Juri is born and I can have it with some cranberry juice and a splash of sprite!

Hahaha. Thanks, but no thanks! We've our own load of junk leftover from children's flat moves let alone our own down-sizing. Why is it so difficult to get rid of it? Good luck with your clear out though.

PMA- No you won't! Was that yours???

My pots! So glad you found them, I have the lid for one but couldn't find them in my boxes.
And yes, the CHANEL unit stays! Both pieces! You'll thank me when it's in a private dressing room for our next photoshoot :)
ps, why didn't you send your peeps to my blog today?

Don't you throw out that dolls' bed.

You'll regret it! Have a few vodka shots and you'll come 'round to my way of thinking.

So funny! I think you scored the motherload. ;-)
That's a cute table and crib from when you were young. You didn't go camping with your husband and the girls?
Can't wait to see the makeover. I'm going right now!

Is that a spool bed in front of the angel? I was just looking at one today.

Keep the crib. The new kid on the block might want to play with it. I will be passing your driveway in my dreams about 2019.

Well at least you can have a sense of humor while you are going through your stash. A makeover?? I'm gonna go check it out.

Are we related? lol I've been making good use of Freecycle this summer, but I think I'd have to find room for your old doll crib if we lived closer together ;-) Off to the make over!

Okay people. Due to overwhelming demand, I'm keeping the doll crib. Somebody I know (#1) better have a baby girl in the near future.

This post cracked me up! You have some good stuff in that shed but if it all resided in my shed...it would've been gone long ago.
Glad you changed your mind about the doll bed...it's a must to pass down to a little granddaughter.

Looks like all college age kids like the same drink...I also have found that hiding in my boys' things but they weren't clever enough to wrap it. dummies.

That is some stash you have there Deb! I am of the opinion that you will keep as much crap as your house will allow you to keep. I'm rather grateful that I don't have much storage in this place!

I think I really would like to live in your storage barn. There is everything a person needs, from toilets to booze. I'm slightly allergic to hay but I believe after a couple of shot of absolute i'd be fine.

With three kids in college I'm sure they have a few bottles wrapped and hidden away somewhere. I love all your stuff. I think its so hard to throw things out.
