Only the Best Will Do.

For some months now, Daughter #2 and her Hubby have been weighing the merits of various stroller/car seat combos.  Who knew their were so many options?
Everything seems so high tech and difficult these days.

#2's Pa-in-law chimed in and declared that he would buy said stroller/car seat/computer/dvd etc combo.  Money was to be no object for his first born grandson to be.

Well, he delivered.  All the way from Italy.
This Peg Perego can do everything but wash the dishes.  It's a wonder in safety and innovation .
This is #2's new stroller/carseat/yada yada yada:
#2 and her hubby were so excited they had to bring it over to our house to show it to us.  See Mr LC mesmerized by the Peg?

He's just so relieved he didn't have to pay for the thing.

Haha! High fives to Mr LC. Four years ago when Australian daughter was looking for a pushchair for her first child I couldn't believe the prices over there. It was cheaper to buy one in France and have it shipped over than pay those prices. Thankfully she made a modest choice and it is now in use for baby number two. But it is still a b****r to manoeuver.

How much extra for the model that washes dishes? I might get one.

SU-WEET! We have a peg carseat/stroller combo...everything else we own is second hand off of Kijiji, but I think the one thing you should spend cash on is the carseat-saves lives-and the stroller-saves your sanity. I'm so excited for your family! I'm excited, too, to catch up on your blog! :)

Yowza! I bet it homeschools the child too. That's one fancy buggy. Can't beat an Italian design!

My goodness that is a contraption! It can be very difficult to choose a pram.

Glad the soon-to-be's are happy with their buggy! Imagine how stoked they'll be when the person who goes inside it arrives!

I love how depending on where you're from, the name of the contraption changes.

Ahhhh......but now what will Mr. LC have to get so baby-to-be?

Can you believe they have cup holders now for the pusher, and a bottle holder for the toddler.....Geez......You should do a post on Strollers from the 80's. I had an umbrella stroller made from plasticky lawn chair fabric. I would pile my shopping on the handles and forget that as soon as I took the child out, the whole thing would fall backwards.

Such a lucky baby to be riding in a lovely Italian stroller...

Looks like a nice stroller that will last a long time! Those strollers that fit the car seat are awesome!

Twenty two years ago I bought a Perego and it was $300.00. I shiver to think of what they cost now. When its your first baby you want only the best. Then they start eating in them, throwing up in them and then they all look the same. Whatever the price it really is exciting for them.
