A Rose by Any Other Name...

My yellow roses are out in abundance now.  They don't last for long so I took some pics for you.

I don't know if you can tell, but they are really thorny.

Don't ask me what they are called because I cannot remember.  I do remember I got the bush for dirt cheap because it looked near death.

Here are some other roses:

It's not a great picture but there are four other kinds of roses there.

The wind was blowing so hard when I took this, I couldn't get a nice shot.  I love the white rose bush.  It has a heavenly scent.

I will end this pleasant discourse by showing you the new peony I got this year.  Can you see her little visitor?

Cheers!

Yellow is my favorite color rose ... friendship is what they stand for. Isn't that a nice thought for a blog with yellow roses?

Beautiful roses, Deb! I have one yellow rose in my yard in memory of my grandmother, Mama. She loved yellow roses and that's the only color she had in her yard. I can barely remember them but I do remember her and their bungalow on Hydrick Street in Spartanburg, SC. The RGT Classic Bungalow reminds me of it and I really want that house to fix like their house! Thank you for sharing your roses!

You saved the rose! What a green thumb you must have!

What on earth is that visiting your gorgeous peony? Some horned bug? A dinosaur throwback? You have to let me know. Is this some invasion we have to worry about from the Great North? LOL!

The roses look great. I'll bet they're unhappy in the heat though.
