This Weekend I...

Waited until very late Friday evening to go on my date because hubby was out riding with his buddy.  Hmm.
Watched four episodes of this while waiting:

Made fresh waffles with Bird's custard, strawberries and whipped cream for supper on Saturday because it was so hot.

Was visited by a dear friend from Ireland!  Hadn't seen her in years and we just started off like I had talked to her yesterday.  She brought us some beautiful Nicholas Mosse pottery from Kelkenny:

BTW, she's a wonderful story teller and years ago my hubby got his first asthma attack ever from laughing at her so hard.  He ended up in the ER.

Watched The Blind Side:

Went here for lunch to celebrate Father's Day:

Kind of felt like I was back in New York. Sort of. Well...

Watched this guy on HGTV marathon.  Love him.

What did you do this weekend? Link up with Becky at The Keys to the Cottage to share.

Wow, what a great weekend. A visit from an old friend is so fun. But the ER .. at least it was for laughing. I can think of worse things to have happen. I keep imagining the doctor asking questions. So, what are you here for? I laughed to hard and couldn't breathe. I imagine he wanted to hear the story too :)

I'll link you up.

Hi Deb,
Well it sounds like a great weekend except for the asthma attack:( Hope he's okay now. I haven't seen the Blindside yet but I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

Can I please have an invitation to Saturday dinner at your house? Those waffles and strawberries sound divine!

That's the best way I've ever heard of ending up in the ER. I love the Blind Side and waffles for dinner. : )

What a nice weekend! Isn't that wonderful when you just pick up with someone as if you saw each other yesterday? What a sweetie to bring you such goodies. I have to ask - what's Bird custard? Sounds intriguing. I'm going to have to see the Blind Side soon. I sobbed during promos for it so I'm afraid I'm going to just be a soggy mess afterwards.
