Charmed, I'm Sure

I was rattling around in my mum's jewelery box today looking for a vintage enamel pin. (MMMC)  I didn't find it.  However, I found my mum's charm bracelet.

This led me to search for mine.
Does anyone wear these anymore?  It was a great record of my life as a teenager.

I traveled the world.  Well, a few countries at least.  I was a bridesmaid.  I loved to take pictures.

I went to Greece and all I gave my mum was this dumb charm.
Oh look!  I gave myself one too.  Do you see the tiny heart?  That was from my necklace when I was a baby.

Gentle Readers, do any of you have a charm bracelet hidden away somewhere?  Send me a photo at debracripps@gmail.com and we'll show it off.

I too have one of these from my teenage days but no I never wear it. They are such fun too. My 20 year old daughter wears it occasionally though.

I had one. I kept taking the charms off and then putting them back on. I think I lost some. They're not as exciting as yours. I love how your charms are so significant.

One of my good friends is compiling charm bracelets for her daughters and doing what you did ... countries etc. I think it's a cute idea.

Is it too late to start one for my girls do you think?

I wish I had one...one that went back through my life. If I were you, I'd wear it...I totally love it.

I always wanted one. My best friend had one. She got charms from all over the world from her diplomat Aunty, and then when she was old enough to travel she added her own. They are a wonderful keepsake. xx

My mom had one. I guess they are back all the rage now. Hmmm...maybe I should go scoff my mom's.

I do, I do and you can't buy them like this any more which I thought was quite sad. I will dig mine out, I really should wear it more, they're so pretty. I love yours and your moms!

What treasures! I never had one like that, but always wanted one. I did have a bracelet with charms with the 10 Commandments and a little Bible.

I have a charm bracelet from the 60's. I never did get a large collection of charms on it, but I keep it in my jewelry box and do wear it every now and then. LOVE yours!!

Yes! I have a charm bracelet. I'll pull mine out. I still wear it every once in a while. I have two of them! I'll send you the pics soon! Off to Open House at Baby Bee's school tonight.

Not only do I have my mother's and my own charm bracelets that are very similar to yours... I also went to Greece, England and Naples Italy and I'm from New Brunswick. I went on a school trip in 1972 (I think).

Do you suppose we might know each other? Wouldn't that be funny?

I never had one as official as these--they are just awesome. I hope you wear yours still. Does it make a lot of noise?

I love the sentimental factor of these. They are precious keepsakes. Like Brismod I did not have one, but always coveted one.
The big thing here seems to be Pandora bracelets, where you get a different coloured or bejewelled ring to add to your bracelet.
Your bracelet is incredible - so many charms!

Do you have my charm bracelet? Also, is the enamel pin the white flower with the back centre? because I have that.
